Bound Publishing Services was founded by author, editor, and publishing professional Samantha-Ellen Bound.
Sam-Ellen has been working in the publishing industry for almost two decades, in a variety of roles including:

Editor, production, and marketing coordinator for small publishers

Editor and copy writer for educational organisations, corporate businesses, and not-for-profits

Writing and editing mentor for indie and emerging authors

Workshop and program coordinator (writing, reading, and literacy) for schools and libraries

Judge of Short Story Competitions (including the Insight Creative Writing Prize and the MP Mayor’s Short Story Award)

Sam-Ellen’s experience on both sides of the editing and publishing process means she has a thorough understanding of all facets of the industry, and combines this with meticulous attention-to-detail, practical advice, and gentle encouragement.
Sam-Ellen’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Writing and Literature), a Graduate Diploma in Publishing and Editing, and a Master of Communications and Publishing. She is also currently studying her Masters of Library and Information Studies. Her affiliations include IPED, ASA, Writers Victoria, SCBWI Victoria, Geelong Writers, Creative Geelong, and the Australian Fairy Tale Society.
Above and beyond her experience and qualifications, Sam-Ellen LOVES working with authors, making creative connections, encouraging creativity, and playing around with stories – discovering the place they come from, their bones and heart, and how to make them shine.
Sam-Ellen has experience in most genres of writing but areas of specialty that put a twinkle in her eye include children’s and YA fiction, fantasy and sci-fi, coming-of-age stories, natural history, and short stories.
