PRINT PUBLISHING SERVICES
Bound Publishing Services are not a traditional publisher, but we do love working with you to bring your book or published work to life with a range of print and production services performed to a professional standard.
We currently offer:
Typesetting and Book Design:
We use InDesign to typeset and layout your book, including all internal front and end matter and simple chapter header designs. We can integrate a small amount of images or illustrations but please note at this stage our services do not cover complex visual layouts. You will be sent sample chapters to make sure you are happy with the design and collaboration is welcome throughout the process.
COST:
Prices start at $2 per page, and may be adjusted slightly for complex layouts or extra images and design elements. (As an example, a straightforward 240 page novel would cost $480).
POD (Print on Demand) and Global Distribution Set-Up:
We will upload (or teach you how to do it yourself!) your print files to Amazon KDP and IngramSpark which will make your book available to online retailers (such as Booktopia) and libraries. This involves managing distribution pathways, creating book and author profiles, inputting metadata, BISAC codes and keywords, isbn and barcodes, uploading print ready files, managing production specs, and more. This will also enable you to create a print-on-demand system where you can order author copies of your book.
COST: $240
Print Production:
If you just want print copies of your book, we can arrange printing with an Australian printer for a small fee. This involves liaising with the printer, uploading files in required formats, choosing paper stock, obtaining isbns and barcodes, providing guidance on elements such as book size, cover enhancements, RRP, and organising shipping. You keep all the profits off any sales you make after the books are printed. Please note books may take up to 3 weeks to arrive once submitted to printer.
COST: $120
*The cost of printing the books will be extra, and is dictated by the printer, not BPS. You will be advised before submitting to print. As a general rule, a print run of 50 books (standard sizing, black ink only, basic cover [no foils, embossing etc] would be around $500 - but you keep all the profit/royalties from sales).
Website Design: $500.00

An author-branded website that is clean, intuitive, and an excellent marketing tool for yourself and your books.

Website builders used are either Wix or Squarespace - both extremely user-friendly if you need to maintain and update yourself (or BPS can continue to look after this for a small fee).

Includes a landing page and choice of three pages, which could include an About Me, FAQs, Book Info, Shop, Blog.

Look and feel of site will be discussed with you beforehand to ensure we have a clear idea of your desired outcome.

Site will be transferred to you once completed. The cost of the site plan is not included in our price, and you will need to pay for this (and a domain name, if required) once the site has been transferred. Monthly or annual plans are available and both Wix and Squarespace regularly have 50% off deals throughout the year.
Blurb Copy Editing: $45

We will take your blurb draft and polish it so the language sparkles and represents your book in the most dynamic way.
Cover Design: $120

Please note we are not professional cover designers and recommend you hire a professional artist or graphic designer who specialises in cover design.

However, if you would like a simple cover (using stock images, simple graphics, basic design) that still looks professional, we can arrange this for you.
Simple Marketing Bundle: $`120

We will incorporate elements of your book design and/or author brand into a mini bundle of key marketing collateral that will support sales efforts and build brand identity.

Includes 1 x bookmark, 1 x postcard (both with QR Codes), 1 x business card or book poster, 1 x social media tile)

Cost of printing is separate, (but relatively cheap to print). We can also arrange this for you.
Mega Marketing Bundle: $550

Builds on the simple marketing bundle by adding even more marketing material that will help you build a publicity campaign and find audiences and avenues of sale for your book.

Includes Simple Marketing Bundle (see above), plus 4 x extra social media tiles (could include Launch Invite, Coming Soon, Quote posts etc), 1 x book trailer (30 seconds or below), 1 x media release, 1 x Advanced Information/Sell-In sheet for bookshops and libraries, setting up author profile, shop, and buy links on BPS website.
Coming in latter half of 2026:
Ebook file creation, set-up, and distribution.
